Masters of Art in Strategic Leadership
In partnership with the Gateway District and Life Pacific College, the MidSouth is proud to offer an opportunity for busy pastors and leaders to complete their Masters of Arts in Strategic Leadership.
About the MASL
It is a two-year, fully-accredited Master of Arts in Strategic Leadership degree. This program is almost entirely online, except for two one-week residencies, one at the start of the program, and one at the one-year mark. Classes are offered one at a time, back to back. Students generally can expect to devote 10-15 hours per week to study.
At the bottom of this page is a fact sheet as well as a list of course descriptions. You'll see that the course list includes a number of leadership-oriented classes (for example, Leadership Theory and Praxis and Human Behavior in Organizations), as well as some Bible-based classes (Leadership Theology, Contextualization and the Book of Acts and two others), and some very practical courses as well (Personal Life of the Leader and Mentoring and Coaching for Leaders). In the final course of the program (Strategic Organizational Analysis), students will complete a capstone research project on a topic of their own choosing.
The MASL employs a cohort format; students proceed through the program in a cohort of 15-18 other students. New cohorts are formed in late January and late July of each year. The residency week for the January 2019 cohort is January 7-11, 2019 is in San Dimas, CA. The residency week for the July 2018 cohort is July 23-27, 2018 is in Denver, CO. Application information is available on the LPC website at http://lifepacific.edu/master-arts-strategic-leadership.
